Weekly Program
Speech and Drama:
Once a week the children have a 30 min class with a
professional teacher. (Included in fees)
Zulu:
The children are exposed to Zulu every day as part of our curriculum. Our Termly
Themes are run in English and Zulu, on alternate days to ensure an early
familiarity with Zulu and extensive exposure to vocabulary. (Included in fees)
Physical Education:
A Developmental Movement Programme is followed by the school and included
in the daily routine.
Recycling:
Every Wednesday we collect your recycling. Crates are made available for you to
divide your recycling and then we take it to the depot.
Plastics: Soft plastics:
wrapping (around magazines), etc.
Hard: Milk cartons with lids,
packaging (fruit packaging)
Tin: Cans and tins.
Paper: Magazines, newspaper, boxes (food packaging also)
Glass: Coloured or clear. Pleases put plastic lids in plastic.
Extramural:
Various Extramural activities are offered by the school. These are over and
above the school fees and are optional. The times and days of the activities are
dictated to the school by the co-ordinator of the activity and not necessarily
by the school.
Show and Tell:
A roster is set up at the beginning of the year and runs over a 2 or 3 week
schedule. Your child will always be on the same day, following the scheduled
week.
